The Role

The firm is seeking to hire a Contentious Construction Lawyer to join their Leeds office on a full or part time basis.

You will join the Leeds arm of the Construction & Engineering team. This market leading Construction team deals with both Contentious and Non-Contentious work, you will lead a team on the Contentious side. Their experience of dealing with the public sector is second to none. They advise clients operating in infrastructure, leisure, highways and renewable energy and waste sectors.

You will find that the work is broad and varied, which will make for a more interesting role. You will find that the team advises clients on all formal dispute resolution processes including adjudication, litigation, arbitration and other ADR processes. These disputes are quite often complex and high-value.

This opportunity comes with excellent prospects for progression as it is a developing role to support the firm's growing Construction Litigation caseload; senior positions at the firm are well within reach for the right candidate.

Requirements

  • You will be a Construction Litigation Solicitor with at 3 years + PQE with a contentious focus
  • You will have a strong technical knowledge and good communication skills
  • You will have good experience of dealing with large settlements
  • You will have strong business development capabilities

  • Salary is competitive around market rate, which will be dependent on experience, on offer is an excellent benefits package and bonus scheme
