Banking & Finance Lawyer - Construction Focus

Job Details

Our clients projects and construction lawyers offer their clients a full service throughout the lifecycle of a project from initial project inception and planning, through tendering, tender evaluation, contract award, construction and operation to financial close. They understand the key issues faced on these types of projects such as identifying a client’s key objectives at the outset, deciding upon the appropriate procurement strategy, best suited funding structures (both conventional and Islamic) and understanding the client’s attitude to risk and innovation. The team has an in-depth knowledge of the standard form agreements commonly used in the region (in particular the FIDIC form), including D&C, DBO and DBOF structures.

They have been involved in some of the biggest and most complex PPP/PFI transactions in the world, and have a leading reputation based on our impressive track record in the industry and for understanding of the PPP sector. They have a long history of advising on ground breaking infrastructure projects globally and in the Middle East.

Their project finance expertise is second to none. They have worked on many project finance deals which have been the “firsts” of their type. Many of these involved the most advanced technology, or required unique structuring. They take an innovative approach to financing, enabling us to provide commercial and practical solutions to manage risk and ensure that projects reach a timely and cost-effective financial close.

The team regularly advises clients on a broad range of financings, both on a conventional and Shariah-compliant basis. They have developed a number of innovative Shariah-compliant products and  are one of only a handful of global law firms that offer a fully integrated, global Islamic Finance capability - consistently ranked top tier in legal directories.
