We are working with the parent company of some very high profile global digital consumer brands. Data is key for this company and they seek to appoint a permanent Data Protection & Privacy Counsel to join their London based EMEA legal team. You will work closely with the Board, General Counsel, DPO and key stakeholders (especially in the Sales & Marketing teams). Your remit will be broad: you will be responsible for day to day implementation of data control best practice in the UK and Europe, identifying risks and negotiating data transfers and processing terms. You will get involved in strategic initiatives and projects but also be very hands-on, drafting and negotiating privacy provisions in contracts. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed data lawyer or DP practitioner of c. 6-7 years' experience and above to join a high performing function in a key role.

The ideal candidate will be in-house already in an international data & privacy role. Ideally you will have worked within the wider tech, advertising or marketing industries (including for eg. online retail or gaming).
