The Role:

The firm is currently seeking to recruit a Healthcare Solicitor into their City of London office.

The teamacts for a broad range of clients in the healthcare and social care sectors (Private psychiatric providers and one of the largest NHS Mental Health Trusts). They also advise many major care home providers - they are recognised as experts in this sector.

The firm is looking for a self-motivated healthcare lawyer with experience of undertaking advocacy at inquests to join them andrun a full caseload that involves advising clients on a range of legal issues including:

  • Inquests
  • Advice on the Mental Health Act
  • Cases before the Court of Protection relating to welfare and treatment
  • Advice on the Mental Capacity Act, including DOLS and advice on the forthcoming Liberty Protection Safeguards
  • Consent and Confidentiality
  • Requests for access to records and GDPR
  • CQC registration and enforcement matters
  • Clinical negligence claims
  • Health and Safety and other prosecutions in the sector

You will work alongside a Lead Partner who has a high-profile in the industry within a Legal 500 & Chambers rated department.

The firm ensures fee earners only have manageable caseloads and charge well for the work they do.
This role comes with excellent prospects for progression for the future.

Requirements:

  • You will be a Healthcare Lawyer with at least three years PQE (there is no upper limit regarding the amount of experience)
  • You must have experience in conducting advocacy at inquests.
  • You will be joining the City of London team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong client bases is essential
  • Salary is above market rate and negotiable depending on your PQE, plus an excellent benefits package.
