The firm is seeking a Litigation Solicitor 1-4 years PQE to join their flourishing Bristol, Somerset office.

The Role

You will join a nationally renowned team (ranked in the Top Tier in Chambers and the Legal 500).

The work will be varied, including a mixture of commercial, public and property law matters. Although the focus of the team is contentious work, they also maintain a large number of precedents, and frequently draft novel and bespoke agreements.

You will have the opportunity to work with the market-leading team of agricultural litigators.

Duties:

  • Assisting the team with a full range of disputes. This includes but is not limited to contractual disputes, real property disputes, landlord and tenant, professional negligence work, partnership disputes and contentious probate cases.
  • Assisting with the preparation of cases for court, arbitration, the Agricultural Land
  • Tribunal and mediation with opportunities when appropriate to undertake advocacy work and appear on behalf of clients in hearings on interlocutory matters.
  • Running your own litigation matters, with appropriate levels of supervision.
  • Drafting notices and settlement agreements and some non-contentious documentation

Requirements:

  • You will be a Litigation Solicitor with between 1-4 years PQE
  • Exposure to agricultural litigation is desirable, but not a prerequisite for the role.
  • You will run your own matters while assisting Partners with more complex matters; you will get excellent exposure.
  • You will have a commercial, pro-active and professional approach to work.
  • This role comes with excellent prospects for progression
  • Salary is negotiable, above market rate depending on your level of experience, plus an excellent benefits package
