Family Solicitor

This family department are known for their cutting-edge work which regularly attracts media attention. They are looking for a Family Solicitor 6 years+ PQE on a 12-month fixed term contract as maternity cover for the Head of Family department with an opportunity to stay on after the contract for an ambitious and forward-thinking individual.

The Role

This Legal 500, award winning firm are seeking a Family Solicitor 6 years+ PQE to join as their Head of Department at their office in Clapham, London. This role has a clear pathway to partnership!

This is an exciting and growing department, giving you the opportunity to work alongside some of the top legal talent in the industry and there is a real demand for this kind of work by the firm's clients.

Although this company does work on some legal aid cases which gather huge media attention, this is a privately funded department which has an active caseload of intricate work and fund cases by way of Conditional Fee Agreements and private fees.

As such, you'll get exposure to the full remit of family legal work, providing a diverse and interesting caseload from day one.

Requirements:

• You will have the opportunity to springboard your career working for a market leading firm

• You will be experienced and have a strong legal knowledge in all areas of family law
• You will have experience running and managing a department of 6 or more
• Ensuring that local authorities comply with their safeguarding duties.
• You will have experience working to a high level of accuracy

You will be working for clients with a range of needs, some of whom are in very vulnerable situations such as facing eviction or a lack of community care services.
