Job Details

An exciting role working alongside partners ranked as experts in a thriving technology and data protection practice on a range of market-leading and often cutting-edge projects.

The firm has a strong reputation in the media sector, hence a significant proportion of the clients of the team are well known brands, high profile talent, digital platforms, innovative start-ups, media companies and advertising agencies.

You are likely to have between 3- 5 years post qualification experience in technology and data protection and given that this is the focus of the role, it is important that you have a real passion and interest in technology.   Technology and data protection are significant growth areas for the firm and this role represents a significant career opportunity for a committed and ambitious candidate with no one more senior below partner level within the team.

The work will be broadly split between advising on commercial contracts with a technology focus (including software development, licensing, cloud, Saas agreements, tech related agreements with an advertising, marketing focus, Ecommerce and online consumer regulations and commercial support with tech start ups) and data protection advice.  The data protection work is very different to the work you would encounter at a large City firm.  It's not plain vanilla DP work.  It's often challenging, bespoke and rewarding work.

Both lawyers in private practice and those in house looking to return to private practice will be considered.
