Our client is a media company based in London. Exciting opportunities exist for TV Production and/or Media Finance lawyers to join the Legal & Business Affairs team on a contract basis.

Our client engages with top writers, directors and talent to make compelling and thought provoking programming, which has attracted a global audience.

As part of your role, you will work closely with the development, production and finance teams to provide legal and business affairs advice and support. This will include drafting and negotiating a range of contracts such as writer agreements, format agreements, as well as talent and contributor agreements. You will also handle book option and licence agreements, location agreements, production services agreements and any agreements with broadcasters and other commissioners where relevant. Media finance lawyers will help to structure the financing arrangements relating to these.

You will be a bright and curious media lawyer and must be able to think creatively as each production team requires tailored advice and will rely on your expertise to solve any legal or rights issues that may arise, including any copyright and clearance issues which relate to the production, distribution and/or financing process (as appropriate).
