Junior Debt Finance Lawyer

A boutique alternative investments firm is looking to expand its legal team with the addition of a junior banking lawyer. This is a new position requiring someone to work with the existing lawyers who currently advise the lending and leasing side of the business which deals in a varied portfolio of assets, with a wide range of values. You will be working on loan documentation and related securities as well as providing a broader spectrum of banking legal advice. Some experience in development finance when dealing with framework agreements, tenders, panels of lenders, block discounting, stock financing, asset-backed lending and mezzanine finance will be an advantage.  You will be required to deal with some legal matters outside of pure transactional work such as drafting contracts and general in-house legal advice as well as potentially supporting other areas of the business.

As part of a small team sitting directly with the business you will need to be strong at relationship building and create trust amongst the colleagues you are supporting. A junior lawyer from newly qualified up to around 3 years will be considered for this role but intellect, values and motivations will also be taken into consideration. You should be trained at a good City law firm and have a confident and friendly nature.
