Private Client Solicitor to join highly reputed Trusts, Estates and Tax department in Oxford

Exciting opportunity for an ambitious private client solicitor to join this outstanding practice which has long held its position as a leader in private client matters.

The team acts for an impressive client base of trustees, beneficiaries, entrepreneurs and landowner.

Ideally candidates will be a Member of STEP or in the process of becoming a STEP member.

The successful candidate will have solid wills and probate experience and be confident in managing their own independent caseload of files, covering estate administration (including taxable estates), Wills and estate planning and trust advice (setting up and advising re trusts). In addition, you should be familiar with taxation of trusts, including 18-25, interest in possession and discretionary trusts, including the interaction with s31 Trustees Act 1925.

On occasion you may need to delegate, co-ordinate and supervise the work of more junior members of the team.

The quality of work is second to none and you will be working in a team which has a number of recognised experts in this field. 

You will be encouraged to take an active role in business development by participating in client seminars, presentations and pitches.  The department takes an agile approach in order to balance maintaining long standing relationships with clients and an entrepreneurial attitude to attracting new clients.

You will also contribute to group knowledge and know-how initiatives.
