About the role
Reporting into the Senior Legal Counsel and working closely with the General Counsel, the Legal Counsel will be responsible for negotiating and drafting general commercial contracts, agreements for new products and customers, as well as to advise on IP, data protection, marketing and litigation matters.
Key responsibilities
Negotiating and drafting commercial contracts for a wide range of services, such as data contracts, NDAs, client agreements vendor agreements, software license agreements, standard terms of business, and intra group agreements
Drafting services agreements and amendments for new products and customers, and managing commercial negotiations
Managing high volume contractual workflow and demand for legal support, responding to queries from the business about status of matters & prioritisation
Drafting more complex client, strategic partner or cooperation agreements
Advising on in house legal requirements as they arise (intellectual property, GDPR data protection and privacy issues, reviewing and approving marketing materials and commercial arrangements
Assisting with acquisition diligence or litigation discovery
Key requirements
Mid-level lawyer with strong experience in advising, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, including client agreements, software licensing agreements and marketing contracts
Experience in IP, data protection and litigation
Fluency in English
Fluency in German, Dutch, Mandarin or French is useful but not essential
