Senior Employment Lawyer

An experienced employment lawyer is offered an excellent opportunity to join the legal 500 and chambers ranked employment team at this top 50 UK practice in Birmingham.

The successful employment lawyer joining this team in Birmingham will join as a senior associate or legal director, as such this position is ideally suited to experienced employment lawyers with a minimum of six years' PQE.

The team in Birmingham forms part of a national employment team advising clients throughout the UK and with international links across a range of sectors including manufacturing, logistics, retail, finance, IT, education and with a particular focus on healthcare.

This role will include both contentious and non-contentious employment matters with a lean towards contentious work. This will include:

- Restructures
- Whistleblowing
- Complex Discrimination
- Harassment 
- Employment Tribunals
- Disciplinaries and Grievances
- Redundancy
- Remuneration Strategies

Employment lawyers applying for this position should be able to display:

- Experience in contentious and non-contentious employment matters
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong technical knowledge and commercial acumen
- Experience in the supervision and management of more junior colleagues
- Enthusiasm for business development and client relationship management
