Employment Solicitor - Claimant focus

It probably helps to start with saying that our client is a national practice and the employment team has a defined focus on Claimant employment work.

Their size and scale has allowed them to develop national lines focussed on group claims, large scale equal pay litigation alongside senior level executive claims.

The priority remains in providing a very high quality of advice and being at the forefront of influential and ground breaking cases. As such this role provides a fairly unique platform to get involved in some very interesting work.

The firm have a number of employment teams that each have a loosely defined focus as a result of which the person joining will work in close proximity to the lead fee earner giving a high level of access to quality support and training.

The current structure of the team would support someone coming in at around 2-4 years PQE though there could  be scope to look more junior but in that instance the individual would have to be very capable and confident in their own abilities as the hope is that this person will operate with a degree of autonomy and help to provide support to more junior fee earners.

The scope of the work is broad albeit with a heavy contentious bias but it remains that there will be a good degree of technical capability expected and a good strategic mind and quick analysis will be crucial skill sets.

Above all else, you will enjoy and want to focus your experience on Claimant work.

If you are an existing claimant employment solicitor considering a move then this could represent a significant step up. The firm have shown great support to its people and allowed them to develop their own caseloads and in turn has seen a clear ability to be promoted so from a career progression perspective there is huge scope.

The role itself has been placed as a high priority and the team are keen to recruit such that there is deadline to applications - in order to provide suitable chance to speak, CVs or expression of interest will need to be received by no later than 11am on Friday 9th October.
