New! - our client are a leading Chambers-rated Legal 200 firm with an excellent reputation for their Tier-1 family team. Due to expansion, an opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and experienced Family Solicitor (NQ+) to join their growing team based in Essex.
The ideal individual will have some previous experience of high-value complex matrimonial finance issues and private child law matters. The Family Team are frequently instructed on high-profile, and high-value, matters which makes this a unique opportunity to join a genuine heavyweight practice.
Matters advised on may include:
- Managing a mixed caseload of client matters subject to appropriate supervision.
- Providing clients with high quality and proactive legal advice which meets their needs.
- Advising on divorce law, children, cohabitation agreements and premarital agreements.
- Advise on financial and DV issues relevant to relationship breakdown to include the unmarried family and enforcement, appeals, setting aside and variation. Working alongside our senior team members where necessary.
- Preparation of consent orders and agreements relating to family disputes with minimal supervision.
- Advocacy at appropriate court hearing and conducting negotiations, drafting documents necessary to further advice on the area.
We would like to speak with individuals who can demonstrate a solid academic record and, ideally, a minimum of 3-4 years of family law experience gained from either a recognised regional or city firm. You will be confident in managing a substantial and varied workload efficiently and cost effectively under supervision. The role involves advising on all areas of financial disputes between high net worth individuals and on complex disputes over arrangements for children. The successful candidate will enjoy a challenging and varied caseload as well as excellent progression opportunities.
A commercial mindset and genuine appetite for business development is an essential aspect of this role and you will be expected to support Partners in client marketing and business development activities to develop the team's client base.
You will have developed an accurate and logical drafting style and make use of appropriate precedents, when applicable.
