Employment Solicitor

An experienced employment solicitor is offered an excellent opportunity to join a top tier national practice in Shrewsbury.

The employment team in Shrewsbury forms part of a national employment team acting alongside their colleagues across the firm's other UK offices.

The successful employment solicitor joining this team will undertake a broad caseload of employment matters, acting for both respondent and claimant which will include:

- Employment tribunals
- TUPE
- Restrictive covenants
- Staff handbooks
- Breaches of confidentiality
- Employment contracts
- Director's dismissals
- Director's service agreements
- Commercial agents regulations
- Sex, race and disability discrimination
- Redundancies
- Unfair dismissal
- Transfer of undertakings

This position is ideally suited to experienced employment solicitors with a minimum of five years' PQE. The successful employment solicitor joining this team will have the opportunity to take a leading position in the team and grow to be head of the team. Candidates applying for this position should be able to display:

- A strong academic background
- Training and post-qualified experience in employment law
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience and a keen interest in business development and client relationship management
- Experience in the supervision of more junior colleagues
- Strong technical knowledge and commercial acumen
