Job Details
We are seeking a Head of Legal for our client, a B2C business in Manchester. Reporting into the General Counsel, you will act as company’s senior legal officer and to direct, oversee and advise on all aspects of the company’s legal risk management and commercial activities, overseeing a legal team. This is an exciting hands on role interacting and advising senior management on legal and corporate affairs relating to the company’s trading business. The role will also include providing legal support to the internal departments including: Customer contract negotiations; contractual disputes and potential litigation; employee disputes; lease renewals and GDPR requests/queries.
The successful candidate will have sufficient broad corporate/commercial post qualification experience (either within a business or in private practice) gained at a leading international organization/business or law firm as well as tangible management skills. You will have strong international commercial and corporate legal experience including of handling a wide range of corporate and commercial arrangements (including acquisitions, joint ventures, high-value procurement and supply agreements, both domestic and across international borders).
