Legal Director – Amsterdam - M&A

We are seeking a Legal Director on behalf of our client, a real estate business based in the Netherland. Directly reporting to the CEO, with a strong dotted line to the parent company General Counsel, the Legal Director will be responsible for prioritising and proactively managing all legal, risk, compliance and company secretarial issues in Europe for the busines and will ensure that the lawyers, auditors, and other members of his or her team function as genuine partners to the business.

You will be a first rate, experienced, international legal advisor and possess the intellectual ability, commercial acumen, influencing ability, interest and personality to become proactively involved in a wide range of business interests, with an emphasis on park development. Key responsibilities include providing hands on legal support for significant corporate transactions, such as strategic acquisitions, financing transactions, restructuring transactions and preparation for a potential exit by the shareholders in due course; assisting on due diligence as required for acquisitions, leading on any vendor due diligence and disclosure exercise and preparation of data room for any exit.

The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of post-qualification experience and must have strong corporate experience, with proven track record in M&A. If you have accuracy and a very high attention to detail, we’d like to hear from you.
