The Role

The firm are looking for a proficient Corporate Senior Associate / Partner to join their busy city centre department in Leeds, covering a multitude of corporate commercial work.

You will work closely with the other Partners within the corporate commercial department, and more generally across the firm, to drive the business forwards. You will work as part of a driven and commercially successful leadership team.

You will deal with a broad client base covering many industry sectors, the sheer level of variety will make for an interesting caseload, ranging from entrepreneurs, start-ups, SME's, family-owned businesses and private investors. Industry sectors will include but not be limited to; Healthcare, IT, Finance, Banking, Media, Retail, Real Estate, Construction and Transportation.

The caseload will involve mergers and acquisitions, disposals, restructuring and reorganisations, private equity, venture capitals and joint ventures.

This role comes with strong prospects to progress, in line with the growth agenda. The firm are succession planning are keen to find the next generation of senior Lawyers.

Requirements

  • You will be a Corporate Lawyer with at least 8 years PQE (there is no upper limit regarding the amount of PQE, there is no upper limit regarding the amount of experience)
  • You will have a strong technical knowledge and first-class communication skills
  • You will have good experience of dealing with large settlements
  • You will have strong business development capabilities
  • Experience of overseeing a team is desirable, however not essential
  • Salary is competitive and negotiable depending on your level of experience, on offer is an excellent benefits package and very lucrative bonus scheme
