Patent Litigation Associate

A top UK firm, with one of the largest and best-known Patents team in Europe, is looking for a mid-level Patent Litigation Associate to join its internationally recognised group.

The Role:

In this Patent Litigation role, you will handle High Court patent litigation (and advise clients pre-action). You will also have the opportunity to assist with coordinated multi-jurisdictional disputes. Patent litigation work will be in the life sciences, electronics/telecoms and mechanical/engineering sectors.

In addition to contentious work, there will also be scope for you to assist with commercial patent work, such as drafting agreements, regulatory advice, and corporate M&A support.

The Team:

The Patent Litigation team acts for clients in all the main jurisdictions of the new Unified Patent Court. The group is highly experienced across both contentious and non-contentious patent work and has a wealth of experience in advising IP-rich businesses across industries including pharma, biotechnology, chemicals, medical devices and equipment, automotive, telecoms, electronics, and software.

Requirements:

To be successful in this Patent Litigation role, you will have an excellent academic background (a minimum 2.1 degree) and at least 50% of your post-qualification experience will consist of patents work. A scientific background is an advantage, but is not essential.
