Commercial 4+ Northampton or Manchester or Home Based

Rapidly expanding technology driven engineering company requires a second lawyer to support the Head of Legal as a result of continued expansion. This company counts numerous members of the FTSE 100 and leading NFP organisations amongst its expanding client base. Working directly with senior sales managers on complex contracts, your actions will have a direct and visible impact on the business. In-house experience and of working directly with sales or procurement managers is highly advantageous. Candidates with extensive experience of commercial contracts from leading law firms with the right aptitude and appetite for a change; will also be given equal consideration. Candidates looking to be home based should preferably be within 90 minutes of either Northampton or Manchester for meetings when required. Key duties will include:
* To provide pragmatic and commercial legal advice to the business;
* To draft and negotiate partner, customer and supplier contracts;
* To advise on Data Protection, Intellectual Property and TUPE implications of contracts;
* To lead and project manage matters relating to a contract;
* To update precedent contracts and terms and conditions as and when required;
* Liaising with business stakeholders to manage expectations;
* To proof read and approve marketing and sales materials;
* To advise the business on the interpretation of commercial contracts;
* Researching points of law;
* Keeping up to date with changes in relevant law
