Planning Lawyer

A senior planning lawyer is offered a rare and exciting opportunity to join a Legal 500 ranked and award-winning planning team in Shropshire.

This planning team work on complex planning projects for clients throughout the UK. The planning team act for developers, landowners, housebuilders, retailers, agricultural land owners, and local authorities with particular expertise in greenfield, urban, town centre regeneration and mixed-use schemes and advising on projects across leisure & retail, residential development, highways, infrastructure, transport, energy & waste, and agriculture.

The successful planning solicitor joining this team will undertake a broad range of complex planning work which will include:

- Planning obligations.
- Appeals.
- Advisory matters.
- Compulsory purchase.
- Heritage law.
- Environmental impact assessments.
- Public rights of way.
- Highways.

This position is ideally suited to planning solicitors with at least six years PQE. Planning solicitors applying for this position should be able to display:

- A strong academic background.
- Training and experience gained with a leading national or regional practice.
- Strong technical knowledge of planning matters and commercial acumen.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
