Finance Lawyer (Hong Kong) - Private Practice Only Background + Chinese Language

This off shore Law firm is recognised as having one of the premier offshore finance practices.  It has the largest Asian Finance presence of any offshore law firm, and is looking to further expand its Finance team in Hong Kong. The team covers an extremely diverse spectrum of British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands and Bermuda finance law related financings and is looking to hire a candidate with a strong general banking background.  Experience in fund finance, margin loans and structured equity finance and/or leveraged and acquisition finance, would be of particular interest. KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

1. Ambitious, hard-working and a good team player.
2. In the region of 3 to 8 years post qualification experience in banking and finance in a leading onshore or offshore firm. Exceptional candidates with less years of post-qualification experience will be considered also.
3. English qualified / admitted lawyer is preferred but not essential.
4. Solid legal knowledge of financing and security documentation, structures and law, ideally obtained from training and deal experience at a leading international law firm.
5. Keen to be involved in business development activities.
6. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
7. Chinese language skills preferred.
8. Sound academics.
9. Experience of working in Hong Kong with a good network of existing contacts would be an advantage.
