OVERVIEW

A highly regarded international law firm, identified recently by the Lawyer magazine as "one to watch", with offices in a number of UK cities and HQ'd in London is currently seeking a junior to mid-level Restructuring Lawyer to join their award-winning team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious lawyer to join a restructuring team that has continuously gone from strength to strength. The Firm is committed to investing in and growing the team.

THE ROLE

The new hire will take a leading role within a growing and successful practice. You will be involved with the full remit of contentious restructuring and insolvency work handling matters such as claims arising out of financial restructurings, as well as formal claims deriving from insolvency mandates and distressed investing/loan to own scenarios. There will also be an opportunity to work on general commercial litigation matters although it is anticipated that contentious insolvency work will account for around 70% of the caseload.

In terms of clients, as a result of the firm’s fantastic connections, you will be dealing with a very broad client base, including financial stakeholders, major insolvency practitioners, lenders and other investors, VCs, corporates, creditors, directors, shareholders, landlords/tenants, restructuring professionals and high net worth private individuals.

This is a client facing role and there are real and genuine career progression opportunities for the successful candidate.

ABOUT YOU

You will have:

  • Excellent academic achievement with a minimum 2:1 degree
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • At least one year of contentious restructuring experience gained within a comparable environment and at an appropriate level
  • A clear understanding and working experience of the operation and structure of a leading law firm and the needs of the clients of a top flight team
  • Highly computer literate including confidence with MS Word, Excel and database management
  • Be a collaborate, team player.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

Salary is extremely competitive. You will be well looked after, no matter what your level of PQE is.  Alongside the salary and exceptional benefits package, the Firm is able to accommodate you in any of their UK offices - equally, you can choose to predominantly work from home, should you wish.
