Restructuring/Insolvency/Commercial Litigation NQ+PQE York

Restructuring and Insolvency team of a Legal 500 rated firm is looking for an NQ+ Solicitor to join their team in York to work directly with a Partner and small team on predominantly contentious work for lenders, IPs, financial institutions, and advising company directors in relations to turnaround assignments and restructuring matters.

The firm can offer a broad variety of exposure, and plenty of client access from the very start. In York it is a tight team where everyone gets involved in marketing and business development and so anyone joining will be expected to take part in those efforts on a fairly regular basis. Suitable candidates will have completed a 6 month seat in commercial litigation, insolvency or restructuring.

Lawyers from Commercial Litigation, Insolvency and Restructuring backgrounds will be considered on their merits so long as they have a genuine interest in moving into this challenging and varied field of law. An interesting point of contrast compared to these fields is the short timeframe in which to act for Restructuring lawyers and hence whilst sometimes longer hours may be required it is generally less frequent, and sustained for significantly shorter periods than would be expected with Banking or Corporate which could be a pleasant surprise for a re-training candidate!
