PERSONAL INJURY SOLICITOR OR FEE EARNER - MANCHESTER
Personal Injury Solicitor or Fee Earner - Due to recent client wins, the Manchester complex injury team of this leading practice is looking to hire a solicitor or fee earners to join the expanding department. The team handles a mix of RTA and Casualty EL/PL work from roughly £100K to £1m including catastrophic and serious injury work. The successful candidate will support a more senior lawyer within the team as they develop their own multi track experience.
KEY FACTS
- Job Title: Solicitor / Legal Executive / Litigation Executive
- Location: Manchester
- Salary: £30,000 - £40,000
- Reports to: Senior Associate
- Previous Experience: As a guide, solicitors: NQ-4 PQE. However, our client will also consider qualified legal executives and experienced fee earners. Ideally candidates should be able to demonstrate some multi track experience. Fast track experience will be considered though this very much depend on the candidate and their aptitude.
OPPORTUNITY TO BUILD EXPERIENCE COMPLEX MULTI TRACK WORK
The team is made up of a considerable breadth of solicitors, legal executives and fee earners at various levels who work together as part of a larger, national complex injury practice group. Some of the lawyers handle only RTA matters, whilst others focus on EL/PL. Other fee earners carry a mixture of both. All the work is multi track with a minimum value of £100K, though some files can reach £1m involving serious and life limiting injuries.
The clients are mostly large 'blue chip' insurance companies, whilst there are a number of self-insured businesses. These new roles have appeared due to two successful client pitches as well as due to progression planning within the department: the firm is dedicated to progressing lawyers up through the ranks and a raft of recent promotions have meant that gaps have appeared at a more junior level.
The upshot of these recent events and the structure of the team means that anyone joining the practice area will gain access to quality multi track, including complex catastrophic matters, with genuine prospects for career progression.
A FOCUS ON DRIVE AND APTITUDE
Applicants with previous multi track experience (whether claimant or defendant) are certainly encouraged to apply. However, the hiring manager has made it clear that the team plays close attention to general aptitude and a candidate's genuine interest and commitment to building a career in complex personal injury. Therefore, if your experience to-date has been fast track only, the door is still open.
The focus here is on attracting the right candidates who are driven and willing to develop. Qualified solicitors and legal executives are encouraged to apply as are unqualified fee earners. If this sounds like the opportunity you've been waiting for and you are looking to develop proper complex injury experience at a firm which is committed to promoting from within, please do not hesitate to apply in confidence.
