Our client, a European Credit Manager, seeks to hire a Head of Legal to join their dynamic and growing business.

The role will be broad, focusing on the management of legal risk across the business, providing strategic legal advice to the businesses and companies within the Group from a UK and European perspective, on M&A, commercial, regulatory, corporate and business affairs reporting to the Group General Counsel & Company Secretary.

You will be responsible for leading a small team of lawyers and advising on a range of corporate and commercial transactions including M&A, data protection and general business transactions.

You can work from either their City based London office or alternatively their Kent office, reporting into the Group General Counsel. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years' of post-qualification experience working in a well-regarded law firm or in-house organisation. Depth of experience in corporate / commercial law including European deal experience is important, coupled with some exposure to FCA regulation. No experience of consumer finance is required. You will be a self-starter, able to work in a fast growing and fast paced but supportive environment and enjoy close interaction with a variety of stakeholders across the business including the senior leadership team.
