Job Details

This progressive national firm now seeks to appoint a Commercial Partner to join their successful department in Birmingham.

Our client has a well respected commercial contracts practice, advising clients in matters relating to commercial contracts, commercial projects, IP, IT, outsourcing, data protection and procurement. The firm is home to a collaborative and team oriented culture and has enjoyed an impressive 30% rate of growth in Birmingham in the past 12 months.

As part of the firm's ongoing growth plans, and in view of succession planning, the partners are keen to appoint a key senior commercial lawyer, likely to be at Partner level (although the firm would also be keen to speak to experienced commercial lawyers looking for a first partnership opportunity.)

Working on behalf of a range of private and public sector clients including large owner managed businesses, PLCs, other listed businesses and public services bodies, you'll handle a challenging mix of commercial work including drafting complex commercial contracts, agency, shareholder and and distribution agreements, procurement, IT and software agreements and outsourcing projects work.

With a proven track record gained working in another recognised commercial law firm practice (and/or with in-house expertise) you will benefit from an excellent throughput of high quality work in this role, as well as high levels of client contact and the platform to play an instrumental role in the growth of the department. This is a key senior role offering a highly competitive rewards structure and clear scope for continued career progression including a path to equity partnership.
