About the Company

This leading international retailer has had an opportunity for a financial services lawyer to join its highly regarded legal team in a key role for the business. At a key time in the retail market this company is adapting to change and as a result, dedicated corporate governance legal support is required. 

About the Opportunity 

You will have key responsibility in undertaking a full review and analysis of the current governance and compliance framework as well as review contracts, preparing and submitting filings with the FCA. You will be reporting to the head of the regulatory team in legal in a leading international retailer. You will be the principal point of contact with the FCA and other financial regulatory bodies. In addition, you will play an essential role in updating the legal team on new risks and upcoming issues in relation to financial regulations. 

About You

A strong financial regulation background is essential, with experience developing compliance procedures, policy and training programmes. Previous in-house experience would be useful although the role will also suit an individual coming directly from private practice. You must have the ability to work well with the wider business, including senior stakeholders with the ability to manage projects and deliver change.
