Corporate M&A Counsel

An award winning In-house Legal department is currently looking to appoint a Senior Corporate (M&A) and Commercial Lawyer.

Reporting into the Head of Legal the opportunity will require the successful candidate to be responsible for providing legal advice to all parts of the business on Corporate (M&A), Commercial and Corporate Governance matters. Additionally you shall be required to effectively manage legal risk within the department and deputise for the Group Legal Director.

Candidates will need to be a qualified solicitor or barrister with over 5 years PQE of advising on a range of Corporate and Commercial matters, including M&A transactions and managing change projects, within the retail, financial and/or public sectors or with a top 100 law firm. As this is a senior role ideal candidates will additionally have experience of influencing internal and external stakeholders.
