Job Details
This plc is one of the largest residential property development companies in the United Kingdom operating a network of over 30 divisions. They now seek an associate level commercial contracts lawyer to join them.
Reporting to the head of legal, you will review, negotiate, draft and advise on a range of construction agreements and termination letters for construction contracts. You will review, negotiate, draft and advise on commercial contracts across the Divisions and other Group functions including IT and software agreements. You will deal with data breaches and ICO complaints / reviewing data processing agreements and advise the business in respect of general compliance and regulatory matters. You will also assist with complex strategic project and training programmes for the business.
You will have acquired between 1-5 PQE in general commercial contracts and have a strong private practice background, prior in-house experience would be an advantage but by no means essential. You will possess excellent awareness of general commercial and IT/e-commerce legal issues. This is a fast-paced environment so you will need to be able to prioritise and deliver under pressure. You will be full of energy and confidence with the ability to work under pressure and deliver on the overall aims of the Group.
