Global Data Protection Officer, Central London, Leading Tech/Healthcare Company

About the company.

My client is a leader in the tech / healthcare space and has grown exponentially, expanding to cover new jurisdictions and ever increasing its customer base.

About the GDPO Position.

In this highly strategic role, as the Global Data Protection Officer, your responsibilities will be wide-ranging and will include:

  • Driving data protection compliance throughout the business
  • Setting and driving the data protection agenda
  • Providing support on data protection audits
  • Assesing and managing risk

About the GDPO themselves.

The ideal candidate will have at least 7-10+ years' experience in regulatory compliance, risk compliance or in a legal advisory role, preferably 5 years of which have been spent specifically within data protection.

You should be very familiar with data protection law, ideally also at a global level, including a knowledge of GDPR. You should also be able to demonstrate experience of implementing data protection in a complex operational environment.
