Your part in our journey:
To assist the Director of Legal in providing legal advice to all areas of the business and to proactively encourage a culture of commercial awareness and compliance with our legal regulatory and contractual obligations.
Your part in the team:
- Work at all levels across the business to ensure that the legal and commercial implications of decisions are understood and communicated.
- Be responsible for negotiating and advising on a wide variety of commercial contracts as well as advising on commercial issues affecting the business which may include: data protection and consumer law.
What you’ll need to help you make the best of the role:
- A legal qualification as a solicitor or barrister.
- Ideally at least 5 years PQE (candidates outside this remit will be considered if they have the relevant competencies) with commercial/ Technology/ IT experience from a leading practice or from a recognised in-house organisation.
- Experience of working in a small team and independently to achieve results.
- Ability to work effectively at all levels in the business
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and business judgement.
- Flexible approach to the scope and requirements of the role
- Demonstrable problem solving skills and understanding of the culture of the business and the impact this has on assessing its requirements.
