Interim Legal Contracts Manager

Your new company
A renowned research institute who are a world leader in genome research. They aim to deliver new insights into human and pathogen biology that change the course of biology and medicine. Based just outside of Cambridge, they committed to delivering life-changing science with the reach, scale and imagination to solve some of humanity's greatest challenges. They are currently looking an interim Legal Contracts Manager for a 6 month contract to start immediately.

Your new role
As the Legal Contracts Manager, you will work closely with the Senior Contracts Manager, advising and supporting on legal research agreements and drafting and negotiating Confidentially Agreements. You will be responsible for reviewing, drafting and updating template agreements as and when needed, in consultation with the Senior Contracts Manager to ensure that consideration is given to intellectual property issues, liability, warranty, an compliance in line with the organisations interests. Finally, you will support the development of standard procedures and documents that improve efficiency within the Institute.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you should be qualified in a research contracts related field and have experience of working in a professional role, preferably within a Higher Education or similar research based environment. You should be qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in a legal or business-related field and must have experience of drafting and advising on contracts. You will have a good understanding of intellectual property and
confidentiality and experience of resolving issues around intellectual property and confidentiality. Finally you will have good influencing and verbal communication skills, have a strong attention to detail and be able to demonstrate a track record of working efficiently and effectively to challenging deadlines.
