Your new role
As a senior company commercial solicitor you will be responsible for providing user-friendly, up-to-date, to-the-point legal advice and guidance to clients and to promote the services and reputation of the firm through undertaking a range of marketing activities. Role based in Banbury, but with a need to support colleagues in, and where necessary, work from other local offices.

You will advise clients on a range of commercial issues, including contract drafting and negotiation of high value and complex contracts, procurement contracts, agency and distribution agreements, IT contracts, outsourcing agreements, general terms and conditions (B2B and B2C), data protection, intellectual property, commercial due diligence and corporate transactional support. Experience across all these areas is ideal but not a deal breaker.

This vacancy would be best suited to an individual with significant PQE experience and a following they can bring with them. This role does have scope for development and progression due to the head of department looking to step down in the near future.

What you'll need to succeed
You must hold a current practice certificate, be IT literate, have consistently strong academics - A/B's and 2:1 degree or above. Subject to level of PQE, candidates will have had good training/experience of advising on a range of commercial matters and an ability/aptitude to deal with clients direct, subject to head of department supervision.

Ability/willingness to take part in marketing/networking/business development etc. also an important feature. Finally the successful candidate should currently live or have the intention to relocate to the local area in the near future.
