In House Property Litigation Lawyer

THE ROLE

For a Senior Solicitor to lead the in-house provision of legal services to the business.

The role will encompass the promotion and protection of the company's legal interests in a commercial manner which supports value for money and helps it to achieve its strategic objectives.

You will manage the Group's Legal Services team to ensure that a business partnering model is in place that provides, inter alia, high quality legal services to the Group with strong relationships with Executive Directors, Directors, Heads of Service and other relevant staff, including the Board and its Committees.

Supporting the General Counsel & Company Secretary and other relevant colleagues, you will ensure that the company has appropriate systems and processes in place to manage litigation and lead on special projects from time to time.

ABOUT YOU

To be considered for this important new role you will have a strong track record in contentious property matters with experience of residential landlord & tenant, housing management and/or service charges litigation.

Additionally you will have the ability to lead and manage a team, with excellent communication skills, and generate confidence and respect with a wide variety of audiences.

With at least 6pqe as a solicitor, barrister or legal executive, you will have proven experience of successfully leading, managing and coaching employees and supporting them through times of change

Knowledge of one or more of the following sectors: social housing, charities/not-for profit, property and development, regulated industry/services would be desirable along with good knowledge of the civil procedure rules, housing management, residential landlord and tenant and contract law.
