A heavy hitting regional firm with an expanding presence throughout Essex have created a new opportunity in their Colchester office for an experienced Dispute Resolution Solicitor to join them in a progressive and varied role.

They have an excellent reputation in Essex across various areas of law, with many ranked in the Legal 500. Due to an increase of local and regional matters a need has been created for an experienced Dispute Resolution specialist to join their award-winning team, working on a varied portfolio of clients.

This is a very forward-thinking firm who are committed to developing their regional offering across various areas of law. They have seen significant growth over the past 2 years which has allowed them to attract and secure new clients consistently thus increasing their workload. It is because of these changes to the business; they are seeking experienced solicitors to work closely with the Partners on an existing client base.

You will however be encouraged by the Partners to develop your own reputation and client base which in turn will offer you outstanding progression prospects with a structured route to Partnership for the right person.

The Role

This regional heavyweight are looking to hire an experienced Dispute Resolution Solicitor or Senior Solicitor into their Colchester office

You will be joining one of the region's leading Disputes teams where you will be encouraged into a client facing role with emphasis on business development to increase their offering throughout the Essex and Suffolk region.

This is a varied role which where key responsibilities in the role will include Commercial and Civil litigation such as: Professional Negligence, Contract Disputes, Property Disputes, Contentious Probate and Debt Recovery to name a few.

If you are an experienced Chartered Legal Executive, Solicitor or Senior Solicitor seeking the opportunity to build on your experience with an industry leading team - offering a varied role and further progression prospects - then this may be the opportunity for you.

As a regional heavyweight - they benefit from referred business however, you will be given full support to service your own client base or contacts should you be able to bring this with you.

Requirements

  • You will be a Chartered Legal Executive, Solicitor or Senior Solicitor with 6 years PQE +
  • Experience of managing and mentoring more junior colleagues is advantageous
  • You should have first-class communication and outstanding business development skills
  • A transferable client base or regional contacts is not essential, but is highly advantageous
  • Salary is competitive and negotiable depending on your level of PQE
