THE ROLE
Within a team advising on the procurement of domestic and international construction and engineering projects.
They also advise on procurement, risk allocation and drafting and negotiation of contract documentation, including construction and engineering contracts, consultants' appointment and ancillary documentation such as bonds, guarantees and warranties.
You will join a team acting for developers, funders, contractors and service providers in a range of sectors including mining, renewable and conventional energy, process plant, defence, transport and other social and economic infrastructure.
Real estate construction work is also undertaken in the department.
ABOUT YOU
A non-contentious Projects and Construction Senior Associate, with 4pqe+ and a strong academic background, you will have gained experience within a top tier firm.
You should have outstanding technical skills in construction and projects, together with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
Your work will include drafting and reviewing documentation, advising clients on current market positions in the projects sector and negotiating points with other parties.
You will also be involved in business development activities in relation to the infrastructure projects and provide supervision to trainees, paralegals and more junior associates.
