The Client

Our client, a US-headquartered investment management firm, is looking for a funds lawyer to join their high-calibre EMEA legal team. The firm oversees worldwide assets close to $1trillion, and working in a small team of 5 funds lawyers means you will be provided with an exceptional volume of responsibility from the start and the ability to directly impact business decisions. This role is ideal for someone looking to make their first move in-house into a reputable financial institution.  

The Role

Examples of responsibilities include:

• Supporting UK and UCIT Funds;
• Reviewing and updating fund documents and materials, particularly those relating to the firm’s Funds OEIC and its prospectus;
• Reviewing and negotiating fund distribution/platform and purchase agreements;
• Interacting with internal and external clients, including in particular the FCA; and
• Providing general support with ad hoc queries in EMEA and other jurisdictions.

About You

You should:

• Have strong law firm training;
• Have fund-related documentation experience;
• Be proactive and hardworking, able to work independently;
• Be a UK qualified lawyer, with 1-5 PQE; and
• Want to work in a growing and developmental legal team, passionate about what they do.
