Company Secretary- EMEA- Large financial institution -

My client is a global financial institution looking to hire a Company Secretary into their Corporate Governance team in London. 

The role will include: 

• Supporting the Legal Department as a member of the Corporate Governance Team with company secretarial matters.
• Regional company and regulatory filings.
• Providing expertise to analyse regulations, guidelines and policies. 
• Assisting with the  maintenance of  legal entities and investments.
• Providing transactional support for mergers and various corporate transactions.
• Reviewing legal/transaction documents and associated correspondence.
• Preparing agendas organising papers and taking minutes for board/committee meetings.
• Training Paralegals, where necessary. 

A strong candidate will be ICSA qualified (or have equivalent experience) and will hold an academic qualification in Law. They will have worked in a law firm or financial institution and completed transactional work and have an understanding of equity investment documents.
