Treasury/Payments Lawyer, 5+

This global wealth manager is looking for a treasury/payments lawyer to join its EMEA legal team in either London or Manchester.

The position involves reviewing and advising on:

• banking and payments related law and regulations such as the Payment Services Directive, Payment Systems Regulator, Deposit Guarantee Schemes, Cross Border Payment Regulations;
• Treasury Services in EMEA; and
• global payment and cash clearing and settlement activities.

You will have a minimum of 5 years’ PQE with a legal background in general banking. Previous in-house legal and transaction banking experience at a global financial institution is preferable, together with knowledge of cash clearing systems and the applicable local and EU rules and regulations regarding funds transfers, deposits, and other related cash management offerings.
