In-House Legal Counsel (senior and junior roles)

There is a need for two new lawyers, one senior legal counsel and one more junior, at an innovative company commutable from Cheshire, Merseyside and Manchester. These are exciting new roles, and the plan for the more senior legal counsel will be to move into a team supervisory and managerial function in time. 

In terms of the experience required, commercial contracts of all shapes and sizes, regulatory and compliance work, as well as good knowledge of IP would be very useful. The senior legal counsel role will likely be suitable to a circa 8 years PQE+ solicitor, whilst the more junior will be well matched to somebody at more like 2 or 3 years PQE. 

These will need to be lawyers who will think outside the box - creative thinking is a must. The work is international in scope and sometimes you will be treading into new territory with the company so you will need to work with different regulatory frameworks to find solutions. 

The legal team here leads on projects and is highly regarded by the business - you will be truly embedded and a valued part of any work that you are involved with, and you will see through the various projects from start to completion. 

The work you do here will be in no way mundane or predictable. It's a corporate but with an entreprenurial mindset, and it's adaptable and fast-moving too. It's busy but work/life balance is good, and there is the possibility of part time and/or some flexibility with both roles.
