A large company secretarial team and a London headquartered bank is looking to make a senior hire at deputy company secretarial level. Working initially on a 12-month contract you will pick up immediate responsibility for the senior management committee and executive committee, interacting with senior stakeholders, in particular the CEO, CFO and NEDs. A second key element of this role will be independently supporting the Company Secretary with strategy and planning. This will involve analysis of the existing team and allocation of work, and forward planning to help create a high performing company secretarial function. You will be expected to lead by example, assist with developing a culture in the team, and help and support the other secretarial services.
Although this position is initially a contract without direct reports, it is a leadership role and it is expected that the right hire will prove to be valuable in the future structure of the team. Therefore, a permanent offer at a senior level could be available. You will need previous financial services experience and to be ICSA qualified. You should be able to work independently at senior level and influence management appropriately as well as provide practical solutions and think broadly.
