Chief Operating Officer - US Litigation Fund launch in London 
  
Marsden are supporting a boutique US litigation firm launch an office in London. The first hire for the office will be a Chief Operating Officer. This 'key hire' will be a senior level appointment and will report into the Senior Executive Team in the US. As the COO this prestigious role will be responsible for growing an ambitious and talented team of Litigators in London. 

Candidates will ideally have contentious experience with a recognised and well respected law firm or chambers as well as; COO experience, understanding of the litigation market, be well connected, be entrepreneurial and have prior experience working with a US firm or US partners.
The role will include:
  • Leading the core business operational functions including IT infrastructure and human resources 
  • Sourcing new premises and establishing and managing a call centre in London; 
  • Recruitment of lawyers for the London office, strategy and business development and implementation
  • Management of firm financing; and business development. 
Candidates will need to be 
  • leaders in their field with an understanding of the litigation market in the UK
  • proven, strategic business leaders with experience in working with business stakeholders and 3rd parties, Partners and Senior Executives
  • highly experienced in; service transition, technology roadmaps, project delivery, practice management systems, document management systems and P&L budgetary frameworks
  • able to manage client-facing operations with professionalism as well as, professional and support staff of all levels and professional service sectors
