Our client is looking for a Data Protection and Privacy Manager to come in and assist the Company and its Group companies in matters relating to data protection (including compliance with GDPR); and general regulatory legal advice.

You will have in-depth experience of managing privacy and data protection programmes including experience of GDPR implementation and management.

Based in Portsmouth, the successful candidate will:

  • Have 5+ years of relevant work experience in data protection and privacy
  • Have strong experience in managing data privacy / protection and data compliance
  • Be able to carry out initial project reviews using the Data Protection Impact Assessment process
  • Investigate complaints with a privacy issues then respond in a timely manner
  • Work (in conjunction with the Group DPO as necessary) to investigate and manage data protection breach notifications
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Have great communication skills
  • Have a relevant qualification / certification in privacy - but not mandatory
  • Have knowledge of ICO Guidelines, DPA rules and PECR rules
