Funds Associate – 2 to 5PQE – London
OVERVIEW
We are working exclusively with a well-established US law firm with a significant presence in the London market. We are actively seeking a Funds Associate (2-5 years' PQE). This is a standout opportunity to work for an excellent international law firm that offers top quality work in a team led be a recognised “Name” in the funds space.
ROLE
This role will see you advising asset managers, institutional investors and investment advisors across the full spectrum of investment fund matters and will provide a platform for you to use your technical legal excellence to its fullest. Typical work involves assisting leading international fund managers on all aspects of their fund business, including the formation, raising, maintenance and ongoing operation and compliance of their investment funds. You will also have exposure to issues around internal governance, compliance and organization, carried interest and co-investment arrangements, spinouts, re-organizations and restructurings.
The team is highly ranked in the usual legal directories and has attracted an enviable client base to the firm including institutional investors such as fund of funds, sovereign wealth funds, and global asset managers. It is one of the London offices stand-out practices. More senior candidates will be expected to take a lead on transactions and supervise more junior members of the team. The firm needs additional support and is looking to bring in a high-quality lawyer with good experience at a leading practice.
REQUIREMENTS
- You will be a Funds Associate with 2-5PQE
- Experience gained within the funds group of a recognised and respected law firm
- Excellent technical experience and knowledge
- Successfully evidence the capability to work independently at a senior level
- Strong delivery skills and ability to work effectively to deadlines
