Job Details

Our client, a large commercial law firm well regarded for the work it does in Litigation is seeking to recruit an Solicitor or Barrister of 0 to 2 years’ PQE/Call to work on criminal Regulatory matters, predominantly relating to Health and Safety. Widely acknowledged as one of the leaders in their field, the Health and Safety team has extensive experience in workplace-related criminal investigations, giving practical advice, often in the immediate aftermath of a workplace accident or incident. Clients include Public Utilities; Rail operators; Healthcare providers; Public Services; Local Authorities; Construction companies; Manufacturing and retail organisations; Leisure-based companies. The types of matter which you can expect to be involved with include: defending alleged Regulatory transgressions; Manslaughter/ Corporate Manslaughter; Prosecutions; and Inquests and Public Inquiries. If you a qualified Solicitor, you will currently specialise in Regulatory law with at least some experience of Health & Safety-related matters. If you are newly-qualified, ideally you will have undertaken a Regulatory law seat during your training. Barristers applying must have experience of undertaking Regulatory-related cases.
