Senior Legal Counsel (Employment)
A leading Asset Manager has started a search for an experienced employment lawyer to join their legal division at Senior Counsel level.
The successful candidate will play a key part in the business and have responsibility for the EMEA, ASIA and APAC regions in all matters related to employment matters and related advisory. The role itself would cover a number of different aspects within the business and directly advise human resources teams across the global business. This would include on: employment regulation, remuneration, SMR, working time regulations, remuneration issues and employee process, amongst other work streams.
This is particularly exciting as it is a newly created standalone role which will afford the successful individual significant responsibility in this function – this will include, for instance, overseeing external counsel.
In terms of profile, the successful candidate will likely have had at least 9 years of legal experience, gained from either in-house or private practice. If from a private practice background, they will likely have had in-house secondment experience(s). The successful candidate will also have extremely clear and polished communication skills, and be at ease in communicating with senior stakeholders within the business.
The client itself is an extremely well regarded asset manager with an established presence in London. They offer a variety of services including: advisory, account management, and retirement plans and services for individuals, institutions, and financial intermediaries. They hold approximately $1 trillion in AUM.
