The Role

The company is seeking a talented lawyer to join their UK head office, in the role of In-house Legal Counsel.

Reporting into the General Counsel, you will advise on all commercial legal matters across the business and internal stakeholders. You will take day to day responsibility for reviewing and negotiating on contracts with both customers and suppliers as well as taking a proactive approach to any other ad hoc legal matters. 

You will also be involved in all regulatory matters, including regulatory compliance on aspects such as GDPR and provide support and advice to the business in relation to contractual provisions where commercial disputes arise.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will be a UK qualified solicitor with high-quality legal training from a respected large / medium sized commercial law firm or an in-house legal department. You will have strong knowledge of commercial contracts, construction law or commercial projects and have the proven ability to manage a high volume workload and multiple competing priorities. You will also be a conscientious self-starter and have the ability to translate legal advice for all internal employees including senior management.
