The Asia Commercial IP team at this major international law firm advises clients in standalone commercial and transactional projects in China and throughout the Asia-Pacific region with a focus on the goods/retail, healthcare, automotive and TMT sectors.
They now seek two additional lawyers for their expanding team to be based in Hong Kong & Singapore where the work will include advising on R&D collaborations, licensing and distribution/supply arrangements through to advice in the TMT space, including e-commerce, internet, media and e-health matters, data privacy and cyber security, encryption, advertising, labelling and consumer protection laws and regulations.
Applicants will possess a strong academic background and have developed their experience to date within a top tier international law firm (5-8PQE). Technically strong, you will have experience of big-ticket transactions across M&A, IPO and restructuring and be ready to take on increased responsibility for deals and client relationships. Additional information includes:
- For Hong Kong – it is essential that candidates are Mandarin speakers as the lead Partner speaks limited Chinese and it is expected that the incumbent will take the lead with regards developing the China focused side of the practice going forward.
- For Singapore – it is essential that candidates possess an overseas admission and are comfortable working independently, with little Partner oversight. There are no language requirements for this role.
Both opportunities offer the successful applicant genuine career progression towards partnership with clear headroom and the support of the firm in building an individual business case.
