Disclosure & Compliance Officer
Chadwick Nott has been instructed to find an experienced Disclosure and Compliance Officer for a Local Authority based in the Cumbria area.
This is a full time role of 37 hours per week. The role is expected to last for a minimum of 6 months but with the possibility of an extension. The salary will be between £12 - £14 per hour (umbrella)
The purpose of the role is to provide a decision making capability in respect of requests for information received under the Freedom of Information and Data Protection Acts. The successful candidate will work as part of a small team, be expected to act as a decision maker in respect of approximately 1200 FOI requests received annually, in addition to other forms of information requests.
To be successful you must have a detailed knowledge of data protection and Freedom of Information legislation. You should be experienced in risk assessment and have been involved in audits and reviews, have strong research skills, IT skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure. The ideal candidate will have undertaken training in Audits such as ISEB, ACPO or MOPI.
